Turtles All The Way Down
¬ By John Green
I am overwhelmed in a sense that I can't even breathe properly right now, having just finished the book. Being an avid reader comes with its own set of disappointments, once you realise not all books are good enough to be read, you begin to sort and choose and trust me, this is one story that you'll always sort into the category that deserves to be read at any cost.
The plot has already been written down numerous times, but it's not the plot. In a good book, it's never the plot.
I'll revisit the Wikipedia articles on astronomy and constellations and probably look for my old diary where my 13-year-old self had written a lot about them. I'll read about Tuataras, try to understand the mechanism behind their evolution if there's anything to understand because only 2 years ago my 17-year-old self was brutally told by her family that she couldn't pursue genetics no matter how good she was at it. Maybe I will also rethink about my friends, my relations. The dearth of psychologists in India and why on earth do we need to have an MBBS degree to become a psychiatrist... Yes, I'm going to live this book for the next few days of my life.
And I know for sure, the pages lasted only 3 hours for me but the book itself will last forever. This book is that kind of a book. It deserves to last forever.
